What is the Orange Train Lahore?
The Orange Train Lahore, officially called the Orange Line Metro Train (OLMT), is Pakistan's first-ever metro rail service and a landmark achievement in the country's infrastructure development. Launched in October 2020 as part of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), it represents a PKR 250 billion investment in Lahore's future.
The 27.1-kilometer elevated and underground metro line runs from Dera Gujran in the east to Ali Town in the west, connecting some of Lahore's most important residential, commercial, and cultural areas. With a capacity of over 250,000 passengers per day, it has fundamentally transformed urban mobility in Punjab's capital.
